Judaica

My neighbor and extremely good friend Richard has in his home one of the first menorahs I made, and encouraged me to make more. Actually, he was fairly insistent about it. After one of our long, late afternoon discussions about the meaning of the menorah, he wrote this paragraph:

Even though there are general rules relating to Judaism, every Jew has to find their own way. It is true that the rising flame of the menorah represents the yearning of the Jewish soul to connect with something higher. Yet every Jew has their own personal feelings and preferences which determine what they may find inspiring and motivating about the faith. These one-of-a-kind menorahs capture this very spirit, as each one is as distinct as the human soul.
